I’m a competent illustrator, a novice designer, and a committed listener. Still getting my feet under me I can create original logos and graphics, I’ve made a few simple websites (e.g. this one), and have gotten my feet wet creating intentional branding.

Logo Case Study - InTrust Coaching
Francisco helps people navigate life through his coaching business, InTrust Coaching. He requested my help in presenting himself more professionally online through a website and logo redesign. The following is a step-by-step case study of the process I used to craft a logo that clearly reflects Francisco’s mission.
Video Consultation
This project began with an introductory call to discuss Francisco’s needs and find out if and how I could help him.
He shared his story and what he was looking for; I listened and asked clarifying questions.
This stage was critical in setting expectations and laying a solid foundation for our collaboration.
Initial Research & Ideation
Following our call I began doing research and sketching ideas to feed my imagination and explore options.
I came up with a couple logo ideas I thought captured a compelling concept and then I explored variations within those.
I sent these off to Francisco to get his feedback.
Live Collaboration
After Francisco had a chance to review and consider the logo concepts, we had a video call feedback session.
In that session by sharing my computer screen, we began collaboratively iterating on a concept Francisco really liked. I would draw what Francisco was describing and he would give me immediate feedback about what was working and what needed to change.
This process is incredibly efficient as it cuts out the back-and-forth delay of asynchronous revisions and allows the designer/artist and the client to work together seamlessly.
Refinement
Following our call I continued to refine the logo to maximize clarity and impact.
I sent Francisco the following iterations and he settled on number 3.
Colour Variants
During our collaborative session we had discussed a few colour options.
Here I refined what we had initially explored as well as looked at some other colour variants to create a more-comprehensive understanding of what our options were.
Though Francisco initially expressed his love for bright backgrounds, he enjoyed seeing the dark options as well.
Font Selection / Wordmark
Once we had designed a solid logo icon, I explored a variety of font pairs and presented Francisco with a few curated options. He confirmed that he preferred the horizontal arrangement of the first font.
Final Vector Variants
With the design locked in I created the final vector files and Francisco’s logo was complete!

I designed and built this website with WordPress, maintaining, updating, and extending it as needed. It is my own 🙂 It includes a main portfolio page, art collections (secondary project portfolios), a blog, a newsletter subscription page, the usual About and Contact pages, and some others.
I redesigned this website with WordPress giving it a fresh, attractive user experience and improving the flow of content for a clearer story. The website is fully responsive for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. I also had the opportunity to update the logo to have a more-crisp appearance.
I created a responsive one-page website for Francisco’s coaching business. The site introduces him, describes his services, provides testimonials, and has several call to action buttons. The buttons connect to a convenient Calendly scheduling page where potential clients can book a free call with Francisco. This site is built with WordPress and is optimized for desktop and mobile screens.
